of COVID-19 in India: 05 May 2020
The prediction of confirmed
cases of COVID-19 in India and Maharastra for the entire month of May 2020 was posted
earlier. This post is to take stock of situation on 05 May 2020. The data is taken again from
the following site.
First data for India is taken from the site and total number of confirmed cases is indicated as 46433 with 3597 cases reported for 05 May 2020.
The prediction made on 30.04.2020 is plotted against the actual number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in India. The plot is shown. It is clear that numerically, the actual values are marginally lower than prediction but the difference between predictions and actual is fast closing down.
Similar exercise is repeated for Maharastra.
Maharastra is showing total number of confirmed cases as 14541 on 05 May 2020 with 1567 addition on the mentioned date. The predictions are being followed by the actual number of confirmed cases of COVID-19.
This validates the prediction, made on 30.04.2020, for first 5 days for India and Maharastra. Let me keep fingers crossed for next few days.
